I became a member at CKO in September 2018 and I became an instructor in summer 2019. Prior to CKO, I’ve hopped from gym to gym and never really found one that stuck with me. Growing up, I tried to play as many sports as I could to find one that I really enjoyed. In high school, I found out it was cheerleading. I was a cheerleader for 4 years and now I actually coach it at JFK Memorial High School.
Why I CKO:
I’ve been a member of so many different gyms, and CKO is so much more than just a gym. It’s so much more than just a place to get a quick workout in. For me personally, it’s a release. It’s a release from any stress and anxiety that builds up during the day. During class, you really push yourself to your limits. I have never experienced a workout that pushes me as hard as CKO does. When you think that your body is about to give out, you learn to push yourself a little bit harder. Being an instructor and being able to provide this for so many people on a daily basis is just amazing.

The atmosphere and energy in the gym motivated me to push myself more than I ever thought I could. Not only is CKO a great full-body workout but it also helps leave all the worries and stress behind. CKO has not only changed me physically but mentally as well. As an instructor, my goal is to do the same for the members as CKO did for me.

After being a member of CKO for 2 years and knowing how much of a positive impact it had on me, not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally, I began to have an increasingly growing itch to become an instructor. I like to consider myself someone’s fitness therapist – I want the members to feel that they can come to my class and not only get a great workout, but be able to take 1 hour of their day to disconnect from the world and life’s everyday problems and frustrations.
I have to admit…I’m a sneakerholic. I also love to travel and experience different cultures.
